Paging and Intercom Equipment

Everything that drives a building-wide announcement system lives here. Typical items are paging amplifiers, 24VDC power supplies, multi-zone interfaces, Wheelock notification devices and Viking and Bogen control modules.

Facilities managers and installers shop this category to build an office paging system, extend a warehouse intercom or replace a failed amplifier. Speakers are listed in a separate category. If you are not sure how many zones or how much wattage you need, call KX-TD at (866) 205-4112 and we will talk it through.

Before you order

  • Check brand compatibility. Bogen, VALCOM, Viking Electronics, SPECO and Wheelock each make their own parts, so confirm that mixed brands work together.
  • Check the voltage. Speakers are listed as 25V, 70V or 8 ohm, and the amplifier output must match what you connect.
  • Match wattage. Add up the speaker wattage and keep it below the amplifier rating.
  • Not sure? Call (866) 205-4112 with your layout and we will help.

Paging and intercom equipment buying guide

Amplifiers, controllers and microphones

A paging system starts with an amplifier and a way to send a page. Bogen offers amplifiers from 15 watts to 600 watts and microphones such as gooseneck models. VALCOM offers mixer amplifiers and page controls with 1 or 3 zones. Choose enough power for your speaker count.

Entry phones and emergency phones

Viking Electronics makes hands-free entry phones, hotline phones, emergency phones and video entry phones. Many are available in IP versions. Look for stainless steel and weather protection if the phone will be outdoors, and check whether your system is analog or IP.

Speakers, horns and alerts

Ceiling speakers suit offices, while horns suit warehouses and outdoor areas. Wheelock horns and strobes add a visual alert where noise is high. See the Paging and Intercom Speakers section for more choices, and check the voltage and wattage of each one against your amplifier.

Power, boxes and accessories

Many units need a separate power supply, and outdoor phones often need a mounting box. Rough-in boxes, faceplates, isolation transformers and call switches are sold separately, so check what each listing includes before you order. Ask us if you are unsure what your layout needs.

Common questions

What is the difference between 25V and 70V speakers?

Both are constant voltage paging systems that let many speakers share one line. The amplifier output and the speaker tap must match.

Can I use a Viking phone on my phone system?

Many Viking phones connect to analog lines or to IP systems. Tell us your system and we will check.

Can you help plan a paging system?

Yes. Use request a quote with the building size and number of zones.
