VALCOM

Valcom clocks in this category get power and time over the network. Choices include a 4 digit 4 inch digital clock, a 6 digit version and a 12 inch analog IP clock.

Schools and hospitals use PoE clocks to avoid wiring a separate time system, while keeping every classroom on the same minute. They connect to the same IP network as paging and speakers. Pick a size for how far readers will stand from the wall. Call the KX-TD team at (866) 205-4112.

Before you order

  • Choose the clock type. Valcom lists analog clocks in 12 inch and 16 inch, and digital clocks in 2.5 inch and 4 inch.
  • Check power and time source. Options include IP PoE, 24V wired, wireless and 110 vac. A PoE clock needs a PoE switch.
  • Pick the mount. Surface mount rings, double mount brackets and wire guards are sold separately.

Valcom clock buying guide

Analog and digital clocks

Analog clocks come in 12 inch and 16 inch faces, round, with black surface mount versions. Digital clocks are 2.5 inch or 4 inch, with 4 digit and 6 digit displays. Choose size by viewing distance. A 4 inch digit is easy to read across a room. Analog faces suit hallways and offices.

IP PoE, wired and wireless

IP PoE clocks get power and time over one network cable. Wired clocks use 24V, and a 2-wire headend clock driver package and a GPS master clock are available for larger systems. Wireless analog clocks are listed in 12 inch and 16 inch. Look at what wiring your building has, then choose the style.

Mounts and protection

A surface mount ring, a double mount bracket for 12 inch clocks, a double mount kit for non-IP clocks and a wire guard for 12 and 16 inch analog clocks are listed. Double sided IP PoE clocks suit hallway ceilings. Special order and drop ship items are noted in the name.

Choosing a size

A 12 inch analog clock suits a classroom or office. A 16 inch clock reads better from farther away, such as a gym or long hallway. The 4 inch digital clocks show four or six digits. Count the rooms, note the viewing distance in each, and group clocks by type so installation is simple.
